Welcome to the Model Maintenance Subcommittee Web Page
This is the newest subcommittee formed by the MASS Committee.  The group began its work early in 2008 and has been tasked with defining standards for a new, but fast-emerging segment of the industry.  The use of models versus the traditional SMA structure has been gaining ground.  At the same time, it has been falling into those traps that the MASS Committee has been working to resolve for the SMA industry.  The MASS Committee and this subcommittee have been working to help define a set of standard messages to keep the promise of model programs on target.
 

Our Mission:   The Model Maintenance Subcommittee maps current business practices and participant roles of multi-model portfolio accounts, including definitions of the roles and responsibilities.  It identifies and defines the message cycles and content currently being used.  It considers legal and regulatory issues as they relate to current and/or proposed practices.
